No ticket matched the winning numbers in the $90-million Lotto Max draw held Friday, October 16, 2026, so the jackpot rolls over to the next draw on Tuesday, October 20. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) describes the $90-million prize as the largest lottery jackpot ever offered in Canada.

Friday’s draw was the first time the national game had reached its new ceiling. The jackpot grew there after the $80-million draw on October 9 and the $85-million draw on October 13 both ended without a winning ticket. Several smaller prizes were still won across the country, including $1-million Maxmillions and $100,000 Maxplus selections.

No jackpot winner in Friday's record draw

The winning numbers for the October 16 draw were 1, 11, 13, 36, 41, 43 and 51, with bonus number 52, according to CityNews Toronto. No single ticket matched all seven.

Second prize, for six numbers plus the bonus, went to five tickets worth just over $154,000 each. CityNews reported that three of them were sold in Ontario, one in Alberta and one in Winnipeg. OLG lists the Ontario second-prize tickets at $154,039 each, sold in Brampton and through OLG.ca, with two of the three bought online.

Maxmillions and Maxplus winners

OLG reported four Maxmillions tickets worth $1 million each sold in Ontario, in London, Oxford County, Essex County and online through OLG.ca, while CityNews counted a fifth winning selection sold in Quebec. In Ontario, 14 Maxplus tickets worth $100,000 each were also sold, in locations that included Ottawa, Brantford, Etobicoke, Vaughan, Milton, Whitby and two in Toronto, and a further 12 Maxplus tickets worth $50,000 each came from prizes shared with other tickets sold across Canada.

Four Encore tickets worth $100,000 each were also sold in Ontario.

What Tuesday's October 20 draw puts on offer

The jackpot stays at $90 million for Tuesday, October 20. OLG estimates that the draw will also carry 20 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each and 90 Maxplus prizes of $100,000 each, which brings the combined headline prizes to an estimated $119 million. Friday’s draw had offered an estimated $117 million on the same basis.

The figure is the product of rule changes announced in April 2026. Lotto Max raised its jackpot cap from $80 million to $90 million, widened the number field to 52 and lifted the price of a play from $5 to $6, according to OLG and CityNews. Each $6 play now includes four selections of seven numbers. Maxplus prizes are added at a rate of one $100,000 prize for every $1 million in the jackpot, which is why a $90-million jackpot carries 90 of them.

The odds have not moved with the prize.

OLG puts the chance of winning the main jackpot at 1 in 33,446,140 per $6 play, and the chance of winning any prize at 1 in 5.8. Draws are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The record it would replace

The largest Lotto Max jackpot actually won so far is $80 million, claimed in the December 30, 2025 draw by two long-time friends from London, Ont., identified as Greg S. and Krys P. With a second prize of $403,285.40 from their combination play, their payout came to more than $80.4 million, according to Yahoo News Canada and CBC News. Ontario players have one year from the draw date to claim winnings.
